About this artwork
This pastel painting had as a 'model' a sunflower from my garden in its different stages. Here going into the aging phase, it is a metaphor for the beauty and slight sadness that there can be in aging, if one has not fulfilled one's potential. So it is a reminder of Carpe Diem, make best use of the days and of every moment.
