About this artwork

My painting 'Summer Poppies' is an expressive depiction of a meadow filled with vibrant red poppies in full bloom. The artwork was born from a longing for summer, sunshine, and warmth, for nature's beauty in its most vivacious form. The intense reds and oranges of the flowers contrast with the dynamic background full of purple, green, and blue hues, creating a sense of movement and energy. Bold, expressive brushstrokes capture the spontaneity and… carefree nature of a summer day. In these challenging times, I wanted to create a piece that brings joy and hope, allowing the viewer to immerse themselves in the carefree beauty of a summer landscape. The poppies, symbolically representing both the delicacy and strength of nature, appear to dance in the wind, reminding us of summer's coming promise.
