About this artwork

It's terrible weather outside right now. I looked at some vacation photos to cheer myself up, and here is the result: August landscape, sun, flowers, and warmth. The picture was painted with acrylic paints on cotton.
I poured all my longing for summer days into this canvas. Each brushstroke feels like a sunbeam breaking through the clouds of my current mood.
I must admit, I felt myself warming up as I painted - perhaps it's the effect of those intense… yellows and oranges? Who knows, maybe this painting has the magical power to summon summer? If so, I'm more than happy to share a bit of this warmth with anyone else who's had enough of the dreary weather outside!
This little artistic escape has certainly brightened my day. Here's hoping it brings a touch of sunshine to yours too!
