About this artwork
I painted the picture in Ibiza in 2007. A female nude is hidden in the lower half of this picture. Otherwise the picture is abstract. Not everyone sees this act at first sight. It is a lying body that is delimited by a light line at the top and a dark line at the bottom. It's a very appealing, unusual, and eye-catching painting.
The dominant colors are orange, yellow and black.
The oil paint is applied to canvas. The canvas is stretched on a… stretcher frame and the edges are painted, so you can hang the picture as it is.

Anando Arnold is an experienced German artist who has exhibited his work in Germany, Spain and India since the 1990s. Firmly believing that less is more, he composes paintings centred on the restriction to seemingly simple forms and rhythms, producing expressive images that invite you to look, without feeling obtrusive.
