If you sit by the sea at night, the waves regularly rush onto the beach, the moon rises, the shadows get darker, and the moonlight only lets you see shadows, then you get the feeling of the night by the sea. Everything becomes softer, darker, more mysterious. I wanted to capture this feeling on the canvas.
"Waves are coming in" is an abstract oil painting inspired by Gerhard Richter. The oil paints were applied with different spatulas. The defining… color is blue. In between, white, red, green spots of color are visible.
