Andrea Bock is a German painter who has exhibited throughout Austria, Iceland and Germany. Her mostly figurative works are characterized by a sense of irony, in which humans are always alienated and animals are imbued with human characteristics in surreal environments. Bock draws inspiration from advertising, art history, fashion, trash and everyday madness. She blocks her motifs in a glaze using acrylics, building up several layers to achieve depth and high luminosity colors on canvas or nettle fabric.
