About this artwork
In this work, acrylic, oil, pastel, sand and organic pigments merge to create an expressive landscape deeply rooted in the impermanence and emotions of nature. This abstract marshland landscape is a mirror of the storms both external and internal. The dark, almost threatening cloud formations in the sky contrast vividly with the earthy, soft colors of the moorland soil that permeate the painting. The mixed materials and hand-applied elements bring… energy and movement to the painting, allowing the viewer to almost feel the wind and sense the rough textures of nature. Ideal for making a powerful statement in any room while inviting a place of reflection and inner calm.
My work combines nature and culture in a contemporary, color-intensive visual language. At its core lies the question of how we perceive landscape, history, and cultural heritage – and what responsibility arises from this.
I paint in a space between abstraction and figuration. Reduced motifs open up the pictorial space and actively engage the viewer. In this way, each work remains multifaceted and individually accessible.
In addition, prints such as etchings (aquatints) and monotypes are created, in which, among other things, historical and ancient motifs meet a contemporary perspective. Past and present enter into a lively dialogue.
My work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, some of them juried, and is represented in private collections. Each piece is a carefully developed, unique work – created for people who want to experience art.
