About this artwork
Hand-crafted sculpture on Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. The sculpture "EQUILIBRIO" : reason is not love and love is not reason. Both are balance.
The processing of this work is entirely done by hand on this stone which is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, namely in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, visibly rich in plant and animal fossils dating back several… million years, makes it suitable for detail processing.
The sculpture "EQUILIBRIO" like every work by Andrea Serra, being sculpted by hand, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.

« Nature is my instinct, rock my light, sculpture my voice. »
Andrea Serra is a sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited and appreciated nationally and internationally. Winner of the Vigna d'argento award in 2025, Serra is inspired by nature and its forms as they have always fascinated him. He also lets himself be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings, another source of inspiration for his pieces. He uses exclusively stone found in the lower Salento, rich in fossils of plant and animal nature, with a warm color for a work that transmits harmony.
