About this artwork
For B.ODE, I photographed in the exhibition halls of the Bode Museum on Berlin's Museum Island. My focus is not on the Bode Museum as a specific and representative place, nor on the artworks exhibited there, but rather on museum space in general, on the stage for certain objects that are only musealized through their presentation and contextualization. I direct my attention to the interior of the space, the immediate surroundings of sculptures and…
paintings, and often overlooked details. This is an attempt to explore our fundamental perception of museum spaces. "B.ODE" was published by Kerber Verlag in 2021.

I am a visual artist living in Berlin, working with photography. Using a minimalist and conceptual visual language, I explore perception, space, and the layers beneath the surface. I studied at the University of Duisburg-Essen. After several years as a copywriter at a creative agency and international travels, I shifted my professional focus to my artistic work with photography in 2008. Since then, my work has been exhibited internationally at institutions and festivals, including Haus am Kleistpark in Berlin, the Sprengel Museum in Hanover, the European Month of Photography (EMOP), Voies Off Arles as part of the Rencontres d'Arles (Fotohaus Paris–Berlin), and the Goethe-Institut. I have received grants for my artistic work and have been nominated for photography awards. My photographs are published in art and architecture magazines and are held in public and private collections.
