About this artwork
Hamburg Minimal presents as many of Hamburg's districts as possible – a parliament of images! Of course, the Iron Chancellor Otto von Bismarck is also featured: he naturally has everything in view (by the way, he's a huge statue – well worth a visit). When you were there, I wanted to simplify things. Bismarck's energetic gaze was enough for me.
This exceptionally inspiring and graphic photograph is printed on Hahnemühle PhotoRag fine art paper… – it looks fantastic! The new series, "hamburg minimal," is rendered in a yellowish-black tone – which suits Hamburg perfectly, as many Hamburgers have told me!

Andreas Bromba, a photographer since the age of 16, uses both analogue techniques and digital processes in his work. He likes to spin his creations in series, sometimes using a minimalist aesthetic, other times with echoes of Yves Klein's striking blue. Andreas Bromba's photos are sharp, but with a certain tenderness, and explore the inscrutability of life, our everyday struggles and the connection between humanity.
