About this artwork
Paintings from a new series: For this purpose, the artist repeatedly applies new layers of paint using spatula and casting techniques and combines various other materials until a complex, multi-layered work is created.
The challenge here is the initially purely process-oriented work: The phase of establishing the content of a topic begins at the earliest after the 5th or 6th work step, to which the further work steps are then successively subordinate.

« Art that fascinates me is often like a symbiosis of philosophical magic and good craft. »
Andreas Garbe is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland. Working abstractly with figurative and representational influences, his diverse compositions are both atmospheric and philosophical. In addition, Garbe explores themes relating to social issues, literature, meditation, and sensory perception. His landscapes, figurative pieces and abstractions are created using acrylics, oils, and resin on canvas.
