About this artwork
Work inspired by the colors of nature. Painting and spatula technique in several layers. Despite the non-representational nature of his abstract works, the artist incorporates impressions that he collects in particular from nature.
This approach is almost striking in this work: the rock face of a waterfall or a cliff in the mountains gradually releases the light of the rising sun, which heralds a new day and subtly elicits a shimmering blue from… the rock.

« Art that fascinates me is often like a symbiosis of philosophical magic and good craft. »
Andreas Garbe is an artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland.
