About this artwork
The title refers to the address of my studio on Herzbergstraße in Berlin. The Herzberg Variations series includes a series of intuitive, small-format and square images, created from 2021, mostly in the 20x20 cm format. All works are mixed media of acrylic (at the beginning) and oil painting (at the final stage of the work)

Andreas Kramer is an experienced painter and printmaker based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Australia, England, Italy, Brazil, and Switzerland.
Fascinated by the permanent and mysterious nature of our existence, his pieces search for the essential and "signs of life". Kramer describes his compositions as being abstract, figurative, and atmostpheric, a consequence of the meeting of intuition and thoughts.
