In this sculpture I combine vinyl records, wood and metal to create a visually striking structure. It embodies the ever-changing forms of nature while reflecting the human ability to adapt to new environments. The dark coloring and dynamic shape are intended to create a powerful, almost mystical presence in any space it is placed in.
With a background in music and art, Andreas Schmidt uses vinyl records and covers as his medium. His styles and techniques vary from precise handsaw cuts to dry-carved etchings—all handmade. His art symbolizes his vibrant relationship with music and his desire to make a difference through environmental protection.
