About this artwork
Faces overlap in fragments: a suggestion of an eye, the curve of a cheek, a mouth half-formed and then lost beneath another layer. Nothing is fixed; each figure feels like a memory surfacing and slipping away.
The mixed media textures create depth—thin washes bleed into heavier strokes, while rougher marks interrupt the softness, as if trying to hold onto something fleeting. Some areas feel submerged, as though seen through water, while others press… forward, more immediate but still incomplete.

Andreea Bianca Velcsov is a painter and visual artist with formal training from the Faculty of Arts and Design Timisoara, Romania.
