About this artwork
This work interprets bullfighting through abstraction, capturing its essence through pure forms, symbolic colors, and a structure that suggests balance, tension, and confrontation. It is a visual reflection on the art of bullfighting, where each geometric element becomes a metaphor for the fight.
This symmetrical and strikingly geometric composition represents the figure of the brave bull, firm and powerful, surrounded by symbolism.
At the top,… the bull's head, represented by an inverted red triangle, evokes the bullfighter's cape in full display, a symbol of artistry, daring, and elegance. In contrast, the lower black triangle represents the bull's body, with its vertical stripes reminiscent of the banderillas or the bullfighter's suit.
