« A cultural anthropologist studying society through discarded and obsolescent objects, seeking the invisible essence of things and representing them as a mashup of humor and pathos. »
Andrew Chan is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor based in the USA, whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Australia and Japan. In addition, his art has been featured in publications such as The New York Times. Inspired by consumerism and pop culture, Chan reclaims everyday objects from his childhood in an artistic process that he defines as "emotional exploration".
