About this artwork
The 2024 painting “Lilac,” created in Kyiv's M. M. Hryshko Botanical Garden, captures the delicate beauty of a blooming lilac bush in spring. Soft pastel tones and sunlight interplay on the petals, contrasting with a lush green background. The impressionistic style conveys the freshness of morning, with vibrant brushstrokes evoking a gentle breeze and nature’s renewal. Subtle color nuances add depth and harmony, immersing the viewer in a tranquil… moment of spring awakening, celebrating the fleeting beauty of lilacs and the joy of nature’s rebirth.

For this painting, I was inspired by the artistic techniques of European masters such as Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Georges-Pierre Seurat, Édouard Manet, and Paul Gauguin. Impressionism holds a special place in my heart and serves as a constant source of inspiration. In my work, I often experiment and create paintings in the style of Pointillism.
« There is a logic of color, and it is it alone, and not the logic of reason, that the artist should follow. »
