About this artwork
Alchemy was inspired by Mark's story. He was a successful chef but his life started to spiral out of control. He started to feel he was an “invincible chef” able to successfully marry together more and more unexpected flavours, and build incredible sculptures out of chocolate.
The painting tries to capture this wild fusion of creativity, alchemy and chocolate as his life started to fragment.
