About this artwork
In this piece, I went into the cool, swirling blues and vibrant greens to evoke a dreamlike path that feels both inviting and mysterious.
The interplay of light and shadow guides you through an otherworldly mountainous garden scape, blending impressionist softness with metaphysical depth.
It radiates calm yet thoughtful energy, perfect to inspire reflection and wonder in any space it graces.
“My paintings each contain a sliver of my soul, my dreams, my being - good or bad…”
Anette Thorup Hansen, a self-taught painter since youth, creates and experiments with devoted practice and a deep connection to nature. She blends impressionism, figurative abstractions, and naturalism, using atmospheric choices and expressive color to portray her many moods. Her landscapes, both utopian and fantastical, invite viewers to dream themselves into mostly untouched realms, conveying calmness, inspiration, and a profound emotional resonance.
Anette exhibits regularly in all regions of Denmark, and has her own ATH Gallery, next to her atelier, where visitors are welcome to peruse her various works in oil, acrylics, ink, and watercolor.
