About this artwork
This painting was inspired by the life of Marilyn Monroe — a woman adored by millions, yet profoundly alone.
Despite the world’s fascination with her beauty and charm, behind the spotlight remained a quiet solitude that no amount of fame could fill.
I used acrylic paints and a rich impasto technique to build texture and emotional depth, reflecting the contrast between her glowing image and the weight she carried within.
The brushstrokes are layered… like fragments of memory — thick, vulnerable, and unresolved.
The style walks a line between realism and Pop Art
