About this artwork
This sculpture is made of a single block of juniper wood. Its structure and rhythm is of the architectural conception. It is a "receptacle", a mythical building for the concentration of energies.
The lower part is formed by four arches that frame an inverted pyramid with the vertex touching at a point on the ground. The upper area is the cruiser-shaped receptacle surrounding an ovoid figure that pivots at a single point, being able to move partially… and being covered with gold leaf. The rest of the faces and views of the piece are carved with symbols, shapes and textures that reinforce the message of introspection that the viewer must have when contemplating this work.
