About this artwork
Using charcoal, I captured the essence and grandeur of this iconic structure with expressive, bold strokes. My drawing brings out the textured depth and timeless spirit, inviting viewers to feel the weight of history. I started this sketch on my last trip to Paris which happened to be the day before the building caught on fire. I finished the drawing yesterday in paris in front of this amazing building.

I have been selected for an exhibition in the streets of Lausanne Switzerland. The next few months will be all about fragments of architecture, neoclassical, the Belle Epoque, and some medieval. Follow me on this journey. Angela McFall, a trained painter with a BFA from the University of Ottawa and a founding member of EBA art studios, crafts evocative works in oil and mixed media. Her artistic approach marries semi-abstract forms in expansive oils with poetic minimalism in smaller mixed media pieces. Through explorations of the city and the interconnectedness of community, she conjures a deep sense of wild, human emotion that resonates with viewers, encouraging them to reflect on the emotional facets of contemporary life.
