About this artwork
I created Dance of the Waves to capture the untamed beauty of the sea — its move created Dance of the Waves to capture the untamed beauty of the sea — its movement, mystery, and ever-changing light. Working with the ancient technique of encaustic wax painting, I layer molten beeswax and pigments to build a richly textured surface that shimmers and shifts, just like the ocean itself.
Through this piece, I wanted to convey the rhythm of rolling waves,… the meeting of sea and sky, and the deep calm that lies beneath their motion. It’s a work that speaks to both strength and serenity — a reflection of nature’s timeless energy.
This painting is currently exhibited at my solo show at The Stables Gallery (October 6 – January 17).
