“Stillness” is the one of piece in my series “The Structuration Healing Layer””
It was created as a reflection on the quiet beginning of recovery — that silent moment when pain starts to soften and the body remembers how to breathe again.
Working with molten beeswax, lime pigment, and natural textures, I built the surface layer by layer, allowing the material to move and settle in its own rhythm.
The blue and earth tones mirror the balance between… cold and warmth, fragility and strength — like the meeting of water and skin.
For me, this painting embodies the stillness that exists within healing — not absence of motion, but presence of peace.
It’s a reminder that renewal often starts in silence, beneath the visible surface.
