« Through the choices he makes, between limited possibilities, the character and life of its author, the handyman always puts something of himself into it. -Claude Lévi-Strauss »
Experimentation and the desire to test associations with objects is at the heart of Angele Riguidel’s work. The sculptor, who is based in France, tries to find a ‘consistency of matter and form, both physical and mechanical’ in her subject matter. Riguidel imbues her works with a certain kind of magic by adding lights, ‘giving them a soul’. She favors using recycled materials as much as possible.
