About this artwork
The painting depicts a domestic scene. It is dedicated to the period of quarantine that the whole world went through due to the coronavirus. In this painting I wanted to focus attention on light. The internal lamp contrasts with the sun in intensity and thus symbolizes the light of our soul, which in those weeks found itself with itself, meditated and found itself. The light within us is always stronger than any test we are called to pass.
The painting… contains elements from my past, the sea urchin in the foreground is a childhood memory. The mannequin, often present in my works, is an indirect observer of the scene.
