Angelo Tassi (Bologna, 9 October 1937 – Bologna, 24 June 2024) was an Italian painter, after a graduate of the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts, achieved notable milestones throughout his career. His work is featured in permanent collections at the Vatican Gallery of Modern Art, the New England Center for Contemporary Art, and the Necca Museum in Brooklyn.
Key highlights include illustrating Bologna, una Università per l'Europa for the University of Bologna's 9th Centennial, earning the Seal of the Alma Mater Studiorum in 1989. He received the Nettuno D’Oro in 2000 and the "Carlino d'Oro" in 2001.
Tassi exhibited widely, including Arte Fiera in Bologna, and shows in Basel, New York, Madrid, and Vienna. He also held a virtual exhibition in Second Life in 2007. His work was celebrated at the Museo e Pinacoteca Diocesani in Imola, and more recently at the Kreismuseum in Wewelsburg and the AREA MUSEALE DI CA' LA GHIRONDA in Zola Predosa.
