About this artwork
The highly dynamic painting depicts an abstract composition dominated by intense shades of red (scarlet, vermillion, and alizarin red). The red hues inevitably evoke a dramatic sunset over a landscape. The golden circle represents the sun. The dark areas at the bottom are reminiscent of dark rocks.
Another striking feature of my painting is its surface. It is not smooth, but possesses a complex, tactile relief structure. The layers are applied with… acrylic paint, both thickly and partially as glazes, to create depth of color and transitions. The curved relief lines depict atmospheric layers and energy fields in the sky. The entire scene has a dramatic and mystical feel.
