- Experienced Artist
« There is so much in life that we cannot control, but we can use our creativity to make something really interesting out of the chaos! »
Anja Stemmer is an emerging contemporary artist living in Germany. Influenced by expressionists such as Hans Hartung and Pierre Soulages, she uses strong colours and gestural elements, which she skilfully combines with the expressive possibilities of fluid colours. Her works balance spontaneous expression with the intention to convey courage, confidence and a sense of departure. She is passionate about experimenting with binders, pigments and substrates to further enhance these qualities.
