About this artwork
In my watercolor paintings I look for the balance between realism and a touch of the unconventional. This work captures the fleeting beauty of the magnolia, its delicate petals almost translucent against the profound darkness of the background. I want this composition to bring feelings of peace and connection to nature in any space, a gentle reminder of the transience and at the same time permanence of nature.
