“Hajar Mountains” is a powerful textile mixed-media work, inspired by the archaic landscape and geological structures of the mountain range of the same name.
Earthy brown and gold tones, combined with shimmering metallic sections, lend the work a warm, almost mineral depth. The use of textile art, pulp painting, and hand-embroidered elements creates a relief-like surface reminiscent of rock strata, erosion, and naturally occurring structures.

My artist statement
I am a visual artist and explore change as a fundamental principle of life. In my work, I combine painting, textiles, and relief to create multi-layered, sculptural surfaces that respond to light, perspective, and movement. Layers, transparencies, patina, sheen, and textile structures allow color, depth, and mood to appear ever-changing, reflecting traces of growth, development, decay, and transience. I am not interested in capturing a state, but rather in its mutability—and the possibility of making this mutability sensually perceptible. My works invite viewers to shift their perspective, to engage with the unusual, and to continually discover something new within them.
