About this artwork
This is an abstract representation of thoughts with the harlequin print as its backdrop. Patterns give shape and form to varied floating thoughts and concepts. It shows imaginative ways of using motifs without explanation.
Ankita Chatterjee
Singapore
« For me, painting is meditation, a way to connect with my inner self and the world around me. »
Ankita Chatterjee is an artist based in Singapore whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Finland. Describing the world that surrounds her as a "gamut of stories that need to be explored", she reproduces them through the lens of her imagination. Chatterjee's narrative-based compositions are created from still-life and photographs. Her vivid pieces are painted using oils and charcoal.
