About this artwork
ODONATA is a journey back to my childhood, when on warm summer evenings I would grab my cousin's bike because I didn't have one of my own and ride into an apple orchard!
The sun's rays glinted through the many trees, gently warming my skin. I felt the wind as I rode and the fresh scent of apples. I felt as free as the countless dragonflies that accompanied me. They shimmered in a variety of colors in the sun. I admired their beauty and savored… the nature and the sour taste of the still unripe apples, for it was a long winter fruit break!
That's why I associate the dragonfly, which also represents joy, lightness, and the deep connection to emotions and thoughts, with all these beautiful feelings and memories.
