About this artwork
"Begegnung" was created on the topic of "encounter" during the collaboration with Christiane Steitz on the project "en passant".
It was the first work in which I approached our collaboration. It shows Christiane (top right) and me (bottom left) when we first made contact.
We find ourselves in a universe in which the exchange between us becomes visible in an abstract spiral.

The artist Anna Bieler, born 1968 in Thessaloniki (Greece), spent her childhood in Greece, Portugal and Germany. She studied at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Fine Arts and received her diploma in 1997. Today she lives and works in Wiesbaden (Germany) and on the Costa Vicentina (southern Portugal).
