Anna Buckner is an American painter and textile artist whose works have been widely exhibited in the United States. Her art explores softness, our relationship to the land, and patterns, both humanmade and those found in nature. In her artistic process, Buckner searches for existing patterns, motivated to "push the poetic possibilities of that pattern". She creates with found fabric, which she then stretches, adding elements of collage and paint.
