About this artwork
"The day I met Elizabeth"
"The day I met Elizabeth, and it is not her real name" portrays a sophisticated woman enjoying herself at a swimming pool while reading. The character is shown from the back, only revealing her back and hair, which keeps the focus on the atmosphere and setting of the scene, as well as creates intrigue around her indentity. The focus on her illuminated shoulder blades and finger touching the pages of the book, as well as… the presence of the water and the sun, highlights her curiosity and freedom.
Original painting is created on August 14, 2019
Ideal for a minimalistic bedroom or living room
The watercolor technique creates a distinctive palette of blue, violet, black, and gray tones that reveal their depth and subtlety in various lighting conditions and from different perspectives and angles.

Anna Dart is a best-selling artist on SINGULART and a prize winner. Whether she uses watercolors, acrylics, or advanced tech, Anna's work is known for its powerful magnetism, elegance, and expressiveness that reflects on the digital humanism. Anna invites us to explore who we are and live passionately in this new cyber era.
Anna says: “My work is about enduring love and its power to anchor us in the midst of external chaos. There is a contrast between the old love and the new solitude that the virtual world brings. I draw inspiration from Kara Jackson’s poetry 'The World Is About to End and My Grandparents Are in Love.' This poetry gives me goosebumps. I want people to feel the same when they discover my art.”
Dart has been exhibited in Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Romania, Denmark, Germany, Canada, the USA, South Korea, Hong Kong, and China, and has graced prominent venues such as Times Square, Art Cologne—the oldest art fair in Europe— and Art Basel Miami.
