About this artwork
In preparation for a group exhibition 'Last Day of the Future' I accidentally discovered Moondog's monologue. Inspired by the piece, I captured some fragments in my art.

My artworks move between drawing and painting… and are often sketchy. I love working on paper. I use many different grades of paper and love how each responds to ink and water. All the marks, creases and irregularities, the dry brush and also the liquid paint make them so unique and beautiful.

Eckert is a dedicated German painter who began drawing when she was a child, taking a pencil to the walls of her nursery to create fairytale scenes. Using a figurative style to represent the human form, she produces eye-catching, strong paintings with an evident excitement for artistic expression.
