Inspired by feng shui, wind and water, this drawing was created as part of a new series about paths we walk, decisions we make, turning points, new beginnings, failure and growth.
Powerful, dynamic and spontaneous, I follow a fundamental design language that responds to impulses and inspiration from natural and artificial structures.
My artwork moves between drawing and painting and is often sketchy.… I prefer to work with paper. I'm fascinated by how it develops its own character under the influence of water and colour.

Eckert is a dedicated German painter who began drawing when she was a child, taking a pencil to the walls of her nursery to create fairytale scenes. Using a figurative style to represent the human form, she produces eye-catching, strong paintings with an evident excitement for artistic expression.
