In my abstract work I fuse acrylic paint, wax and charcoal to create an expressive composition. I play with the contrast of darkness and light, loading every line and shade with emotion. This work of art is intended to capture the power of the unspoken and leave room for personal interpretation. It will bring a dynamic yet mysterious energy to any room.

Anna Eckert
Germany
« I like working with paper. I love its texture, the way it reacts to water, how it ripples and tears. It is stubborn, obstinate and develops its own character. »
Eckert is a dedicated German painter who began drawing when she was a child, taking a pencil to the walls of her nursery to create fairytale scenes. Using a figurative style to represent the human form, she produces eye-catching, strong paintings with an evident excitement for artistic expression.
