About this artwork
I accidentally discovered Moondog's Monologue in preparation for an upcoming group exhibition 'Last Day of the Future'. Inspired by the piece, I captured some fragments in my art.
Modern, expressive, abstract mixed media with text elements.
Mixed media on beautiful, solid, lightly textured Clairefontaine paper, 180gsm
Sheet size 42x59.4 cm/ A2
Described and signed on the reverse.
Powerful, dynamic and spontaneous, I follow a fundamental… design language that responds to impulses and inspiration from natural and artificial structures.
My artwork moves between drawing and painting and is often sketchy. I really like working on paper. I use many different grades of paper and love how each of them responds to paint and water. All the stains, wrinkles and irregularities, the dry brush and liquid paint make them so unique and beautiful.

« I like working with paper. I love its texture, the way it reacts to water, how it ripples and tears. It is stubborn, obstinate and develops its own character. »
Eckert is a dedicated German painter who began drawing when she was a child, taking a pencil to the walls of her nursery to create fairytale scenes. Using a figurative style to represent the human form, she produces eye-catching, strong paintings with an evident excitement for artistic expression.
