Intensely colorful layering, superimposition, and contrasts of form and color are central themes in her work, both in surface and space.
She studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Prof. Christine Colditz and in Munich under Prof. Horst Sauerbruch.
She was able to expand her knowledge with a scholarship abroad at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Genoa.
She received further inspiration for her work from Jime Dine at the Summer Academy in Salzburg.
She has been living in the Bavarian Forest for several years and works there or in her studio in Regensburg.
Since 2004 she has worked as a freelance painter and art educator.
