About this artwork
These artworks are a visual metaphor for the illusion of control we all suffer from. They remind us that absolute order does not exist and that true control is often a matter of perception. But at the same time, they show that in this illusion lies a moment of trust and courage - surrendering to the unknown, enduring the tension between system and disruption, and finding beauty in it.
My work is inspired by the working methods of Mondrian, Kasimir… Malevich and Imi Knöbel, to name a few.
What drives and fascinates me is the way I work with a self-imposed rule and then push it to the limit. It is the search for a universal form of expression. It is the maximum reduction to enable a new beginning.
The artwork itself is ambiguous.
