About this artwork
“And whoever holds the tender end of the ball will wind his way through the labyrinth of the world.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Are we now prisoners of this labyrinth of life, or winners who have hit the jackpot, seeing life with all its trials and tribulations in a playful way as a constant and inevitable act of further development? Even if you take a seemingly wrong turn but keep going, you will eventually find your way out of the labyrinth.… This idea is a conciliatory one, isn't it? Because even wrong paths can have their meaning. If only because we are enriched by one experience.
Painting comes with wooden shadow gap frame.
ATTENTION: Picture can be hung vertically or horizontally.

- Works on commission
In her Zurich studio, Anna Maier gives free rein to her creativity. Here, she stretches high-quality linen canvas onto round wooden frames. She then applies countless layers in her own distinctive style. Maier's stylistic signature is concise and unmistakable.
The interplay of shapes and colors invites viewers to linger. With each change of perspective, the painting also transforms. Its complexity creates a kind of pull, as if one could dive into the circular frame.
Anna Maier has been painting and exhibiting for over 20 years. Since 2020, she has been a full-time artist and has sold over 100 paintings during this time.
