Oil, linen stretched canvas.
A little history of the pomegranate.
In ancient times, pomegranate was considered a symbol of fertility and a remedy for infertility.
I decided to paint a still life with a pomegranate, as I had never painted pomegranates before. I tried to convey its naturalism, brightness and, of course, these extraordinary grains in the color scheme. The pomegranates are realistic and visually delicious.
