About this artwork
The fiery sea, on which the wind draws scarlet waves, is a truly incredible spectacle that every year paints the fields of Europe and Asia. At different times, among different peoples, this simple, and at the same time luxurious flower was a multifaceted symbol that could be interpreted differently depending on the circumstances - but more often it still remained dual, like everything else in the universe. I decided to paint orange and white poppies… in the style of realism. Large-scale, time-consuming work measuring 1 meter by 1 meter and 20 cm, the first for me of this size. Large, beautiful poppies create a sense of joy with finely crafted petals that ripple with all the colors of the rainbow in the sunlight. The painting of graceful poppies will not leave you indifferent and will make you smile. This artwork won 1 place in realism category in ART WORLD EXPO international exhibition-competition in New Tretyakov Gallery (National Gallery) 28 Apr -15 May.
