About this artwork
A dog's head was made of a very soft type of stone. This small sculpture was worked out by hand. This sculpture was made in representational style, naturalistic and impressionistic.
"I saw a dog's head in this stone. I almost always do that before work, so that I first have something like a conversation with the stone. And then the stone gets its shape." Because of its natural beauty, the stone is left in its natural state and intentionally not… evenly polished. It is white in color with only a few flecks of color.
The dog looks very alive. And is highly recommended for dog loving people or as a gift.
The sculpture has no base, it can stand on any surface. But there is an additional black stone base that can be used as a pedestal if desired.
