About this artwork
I painted the picture Dog in the Garden of Fantasy in 2022 especially for the exhibition Animals in the Garden of Fantasy. This exhibition took place in the Zweite Heimat club in Warburg.
I paint animals because I think they are beautiful and interesting and worth capturing on canvas. We humans often treat them badly and look down on them, but they also experience pain and hunger and deserve to be treated well.
Here you can see a portrait of my… son's dog, Ronja. This animal has been dead for several years, but in the garden of imagination it still lies on a patterned carpet and enjoys the sun.
