This painting is a portrait of a boy I met in 2017. This little boy is battling a serious heart condition and has already undergone four major surgeries and many life-changing treatments.
Fortunately, the boy is now developing well, growing and playing. The peonies in the background symbolize life, the victory of health over illness.
The plant grows and develops beautifully, just like the child.
