About this artwork
The painting Teddy Bear is a group portrait of the toys my children used to play with. I painted it in 2007. It was a kind of farewell to their childhood. My children were already teenagers at that time, although they still looked fondly at their old toys.
In this painting I have portrayed the gentle and sensitive world of teddy bears, captured in the intricate structures that make up their environment. Using tempera I have created depth and texture,… each brushstroke reflects the gentle innocence and calming nature of these faithful companions. This painting exudes a safe and warm atmosphere, perfect for spreading a sense of home and comfort in any room.
